Hey Sewing Friends, I’m excited to announce that I’m taking part in #sewfrugal22 the Instagram sewing challenge! #sewfrugal22 is all about sewing with free sewing patterns & fabric from your stash. I have 5 awesome patterns to share plus 3 bonus sewing patterns.
Peppermint Magazine | Paddington Top – Click Here for the pattern
This is such a fantastic puff sleeve pattern. I love the button details on the back but am a bit concerned about getting in and out of it. It seems to be a quick sew and a pattern with nice ease.
Peppermint Magazine | Milton Pinafore – Click Here for the pattern
Pinafores are patterns that I never sew. While doing my research, I sort of fell in love with the shape of this pattern. The mid-section really pulled me in, I think it’s a feature that can bring out someone’s personality with a little imagination.
MoodSewciety | The Flora Blouse – Click here for the pattern
What has drawn me to this pattern is the play of texture. I too, love mixing fabric texture & weights. With spring around the corner, this would be perfect is a floral print & colored lace or eyelet fabric.
MoodSewciety | The Savannah Shacket – Click here for the pattern
Okay – this is defiantly a wild card for me. I don’t think, it’s a style I can rock, but I love staying warm and trying new things. It will be a test of my styling ability.
Lowlandkids | Women’s Baggy V Neck Tee – Click here for the pattern
This is a fantastic pattern – I’m getting Anthropologie vibes from this one and you could too. The design is on the mark.
Other free separates sewing patterns to consider
MoodSewciety | The Daisy Top – Click here for the pattern
The Daisy top is an easy, grab-and-go sort of style that I like. Again, it has multiple textures which, I love to incorporate in my projects. Fringe is still a hit in 2022 and this pattern, displays it nicely.
Itch to Stitch | Lago Tank – Click here for the pattern
Everyone needs a classic tank top and this one fits the bill. With so many beautiful knit fabrics available, it’s a great spring starter.
Great British Sewing Bee | Camisole Top – Click here for the pattern
If you don’t have the book, you can try the link above for the pattern.
Sew Vera Venus | Pussycat Bow Blouse – Click here for the pattern
The pattern is a size small-medium, and the website directs you how to go about grading so it would fit you perfectly.
What a sweet sewing pattern. I’ve always wanted to make a blouse like this, but I don’t really like to feel restricted around my neck. It’s something I want to get over and a free sewing pattern just might be the recipe to help.
If you decide to join in, please let me know, as I would love to support and share your makes.
