2022 Simplicity Patterns Early Spring Collection

First Impressions from the Early Spring Collection

Simplicity patterns just dropped their early spring collection which includes about 40 or so items. In this post, I’m not going to go through all their offerings. My goal is the share the patterns that speak to me and are possibly worth purchasing.

Simplicity Pattern S9469

This pattern has 4 options, and they are all really simple and nice. Version D is my favorite because of the cut-out detail. It’s a beginner-friendly design, that delivers a beautiful blouse.

Simplicity S9467

There is so much goodness going on with this pattern. I love all the options, it’s a perfect Early Spring project. I can see this being sewing up in chambray, lightweight denim, and a whole lot of other fabrics to create beautiful silhouettes.

Simplicity S9470

This is the pattern, I’m not 100% sold on. I do find it pretty, I’m just not sure it’s for me. The pleat detail is a winner. If you are a beginner and looking for a quick project, this is the one. I highly recommend it for new sewing enthusiast

Simplicity Pattern S9475

These dresses were made for Sunday service, garden parties, and springtime picnics. I love all the options for this design. It has the versatility of being modest and jaw-dropping depending on your fabric option.

Simplicity Pattern S9463

This shirt dress is a winner all the way! The two versions are just amazing and the animal print is guiding me back to purchasing more fabric like this.

Simplicity S9480

Do you like jumpsuits? I have an aversion to them. My brain sends red flags and hits a roadblock when I think about sewing a jumpsuit. I would feel very vulnerable in the restroom wearing a jumpsuit. This is the reason, as much as I love some patterns, I stay away from them. However! I’m drawn to this pattern especially version B. It must be the fabric choice.

Simplicity S9464 & S9465

I love everything about these two designs. The puff sleeve, sweetheart & square neckline are winners in my book. How often do you see this much button detail on a dress? Well, just imagine a navy blue dress with gold buttons! That dress would be the talk of the town for days.

Did I guess correctly? Are these your top picks from the Simplicity Early Spring collection? Let me know if I missed any of your favorites.

Have a great day & Happy Sewing.
