The Flor dress is a beautiful design by Bella Love Pattern. It’s that dress that makes you feel completely carefree and looks good on all bodytype. One of the most breathtaking feature is the statement ruffles and the piriare feel you get while wearing this dress.
This pattern comes with two designs, if you are not a dress person, then the cropped top would be an option for you to try or hack the pattern and add a peplum hem which I find very tempting.
Another great detail is there are no zipper or other closure other than the ties. My confident level is very high, because I’m not worried about having a wardrobe malfunction in the bust or the skirt flap.
This is my first successful wrap dress and I’m overjoyed. I’ve made wrap dress in the past, but they always had to be pinned because of the gap in the bust area. The overlap coverage is sufficient and the wrap on the top is perfect.
As a pattern tester, you can get stressed because you are partly responsible for the initial success of a pattern. What makes it harder for someone who has been sewing for many years, is they may have tips, tricks and habits used when sewing. SO I have to train myself to approach a testing project differently.
I made a size 12 but next time I would go down a size, the fit was good but I’m running more and will continue to loose weight. The flor can easily become a repeat offender 🙂 No alterations was made, to me that is a successful pattern.
