As promised here is the first VPR for my May Makes. So technically this dress was sewn in April, but life happened and I had to finish it up in May.

Look & Feel: This dress strikes me as one that can be worn to a summer wedding, it’s versatile enough to be made in a lovely linen and paired with a jacket or blazer.
Problems/Issues/Alteration:I didn’t have any fitting issues, the depth of the neckline was my only concern and I rectified that problem with the aid of black trimming.I did have pressing issue, it felt like the fabric wasn’t holding the heat to keep shape, it just didn’t look neat. I ended up hanging the dress and steam ironing it. That seemed to help.
Lessons Learned: I suppose I could have made some adjustments to the neckline, but I feared messing up the bodice silhouette.
Conclusion: Overall I’m pleased with the outcome of this dress. The length was fine; the fabric was okay to work with and the fit was wonderful.
